Myself and Pete are regulars on the forum and I believe 50rider will be down from Port Hedland sometime. Pete's been at me to go for a ride, but now his bike is waiting for a rebuilt motor and my missus CT70 is needing a carby rebuild, so would be good to ride soon.

I'm not exactly a Perth monkey owner, but I'm WA, Manjimup. I've bought stuff off Hector (top bloke, thanks) who recommended I join this site. I've got a '77 J1 with quite a few bits missing, and quite a few bits in the post. I've told the missus I need the funding secured for rego when the rain stops, about four months I reckon, just in time for the Boyanup bike show which I attended (in a car, boo hoo) last year, and was well worth the time. Anyone interested in riding our monkeys there? Other than that, I would love to come up and have a ride with other like-minded dudes, especially if we can involve beer (responsibly, officer).

I don't know yet.
Last year there was a guy with three cheap Yamaha mini bikes for sale. Big wheel Dax looking things. Would make great beach bikes. I bought a box of ATC70 to complete mine (now sold). There must have been over one hundred really class bikes, ranging from the start of the centuring, leather-belt drive machines, to exotic European tourers and sports bikes. It was pretty good. I was hoping to make the just over an hour in a car journey on my Monkey, so I'd better set out the night before. |

G'day Keith,
I'm near Joondalup also, and think doing the charity ride, or something similar would be a great idea. Those rides aren't that fast and the giggle value on somthing fun like the monkey would be high. I got an untouched 40th aniversary J1 (rego'd) and a touched up J1 with 124cc, polished bits, long swingarm and monoshock conversion etc,...(almost rego'd)
